This center activity focuses on number sense, subitizing and different ways to represent numbers.
You’ll need a large pocket chart with 10 rows. On the side of each row put the numbers 1-10 or 10-20, depending upon what numbers you are studying, one card being on the left side of each row. On the top row of the chart, evenly space the other number representation cards. When I set out this center, each child takes turns and randomly pulls one card out of the pile. They find the correct row and header and place the card in its correct spot.
