Looking for some fun, easy, hands-on number sense activities for your kindergarten or first grade classroom? These pages are a perfect way to practice counting, number correspondence, subitizing, math fact fluency, and fine motor skills. This activity will also reinforce the crucial understanding that smaller numbers or parts can be put together to make a larger whole number. Woo hoo! These will come in handy as a fun supplement to your regular math curriculum or a seasonal thematic activity. These also make a great go-to activity for fillers, early finishers, when you have a sub or a last minute change in plans. Just make copies, grab some crayons and dice, and GO! Fun practice for your kiddos, easy for you... done and done!
These pages are DIFFERENTIATED with three pages for each seasonal image so that students can use one, two, or three dice.
To do this activity, you will need dice and crayons or markers. Students will roll a die or dice, count the dots (or use mental math to figure out the number), then color the object with the corresponding numeral. My students LOVE this activity and ask me to do it again! I hope yours do too.
I made these for my own classroom and I hope they help YOU too! Please check out the preview file to see exactly what you are getting in this pack. I hope this becomes a valuable resource for your classroom.
