Number Talks - FREE Subtraction Strategy Posters K-1 (Bridging 10)

To complement the Addition Strategy Posters I use in class, I've also made Subtraction Strategy Posters. They are in the same format, but use a different background, as well as having 'Subtraction' in red at the bottom of each poster, to help kids differentiate between the addition and subtraction strategies when they are using them as a reference.

This file has 4 posters, with 4 simple subtraction strategies that your class may use when subtraction that involves bridging 10. These may be useful if your children have moved beyond the K-1 strategy posters I posted (the ones that illustrate the subtraction strategies using numbers within 10 only).

I found that these posters supported and enhanced the ability of all the children in my class to join in and use the different mental maths strategies during our Number Talks.

Each strategy (just like my addition posters) has a fun 'strategy name' that I find help the kids remember and use the individual strategies.
