# Number Tiles Counting Like and Mixed Coins

Product Description
I use number tiles every Tuesday as one of my guided math stations. I enjoy using them because they are low prep and fun for my students. I can have students self-check with the answer key or I can have them walk over to the table where I can quickly record the score they earned as I am working with a group. I place these number tile sheets into page protectors so that students can easily show their work without wasting paper. Students can also cut out number tiles and glue them to the page as a worksheet.

Set Up:
-Laminate and cut out the number tiles I have included or use plastic number tiles 0-9. I like to keep my number tiles in sets so that students can grab a zip lock bag and get started.
-Place recording sheets into page protectors if desired. (I print these front and back so that early finishers can flip them over for an extra challenge).
My favorite thing about number tiles is that they are so low prep! I have all my number tiles bagged and ready to go for the year. A student has the job of switching out the sheets each week, so we are ready to go!

-Identifying Coins sheet (1)- Students identify the name and value of each coin.
-Counting Like Coins (4 sheets)-Students count only one type of coin in a group. For example 5 dimes is \$0.50.
-Counting Mixed coins (4 sheets)- Students count groups of coins with multiple coin types. For example, 2 quarters, 1 nickel, and 2 pennies is \$0.57.
-Bonus! Money Poem for students to glue into their math journals.
