This product offers practice for comparing decimals through the thousandths using >, =, and < symbols.
Included are 180 cards with decimal numbers. Also included are cards with the symbols >, =, and <. Students play the game similar to the game of dominoes. One student lays down a card with a decimal on it. The next student must lay down another decimal card and a symbol to indicate the relationship between the two decimals. The next player continues the “string” of decimals by building on either end.
Students will need multiple symbols, so feel free to print as many as you like. I have included three sheets for each symbol. Cut the symbols and decimal cards apart. Laminate if you plan to use multiple times.
I am including both the pdf and the PowerPoint documents. The PPT is fully editable, allowing you to add decimal cards, etc., as meets your needs.
See directions sheet for game rules. Or use them any way you wish!
Compare two decimals to thousandths based onmeanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
