Number squares with multiples of relevant table blanked.
I use them laminated and allow the student to write in the missing multiples using a dry-wipe pen and also to say the times table, pointing to the missing multiples as s/he goes along. The student can practise repeatedly with other numbers there as "cues". I then take away the grid and ask the student to imagine the multiples on the grid. It works really well for some students, especially strongly visual learners. As an added bonus, the colours I have chosen for blanking out the multiples link with Cuisenaire colours for rods the length of the particular times table.
