Students represent three digit numbers in unit form, number names and expanded form.
Students are also challenged to represent the daily 3 digit number in numbers or pictures (bundles, "squares, sticks and circles", on a number line, etc).
Lastly, students are asked to find out how far they are from 500 (for numbers under 500) or 100 (for numbers over 500). Students can use any method including drawing a place value chart, number line, place value drawings, addition or subtraction.
This pack would make great morning work or could work as a math center for a week!
