This file contains Number of the Day 1 more, 1 less, 10 more, and 10 less display charts or math mats in 10 different colors. I use this chart during my daily calendar routines where we talk about the number of the day. I laminate the chart and then have the students use Vis A Vis markers to fill in the chart. At the end of the day the markers wipe off with water and we are ready to complete the chart the next day.
To use the chart the students write the number of the day in the middle of the chart and then complete the task of filling in the puzzle by finding which number is one more, one less, 10 more, and 10 less.
This fits perfectly into the Everyday Math use of the number grid as well. The students can practice the skill of finding the number of the day on their number grid and then finding the rest of the numbers to complete the puzzle.
You can also print these out and use them as Math Mats at a math center. The students can take turns choosing a number to put in the middle and then can complete the number grid puzzle. This file can be used in so many ways.
The colors of the display charts or mats are teal, pink, light green, purple, light pink, yellow, royal blue, dark green, red, and black. (10 different colors!)
