Number of the Day for Third and Fourth Grades:
This Number of the Day product includes not just one, but TWO FABULOUS RESOURCES FOR DAILY PRACTICE! It has not just the Number of the Day, but also the Featured Time page! Mix it up for students, sometimes giving them a number of the day, and sometimes giving them a featured time of the day. Either way, they are going to be practicing skills that are critical to their mathematic success!
The number of the day is a fabulous opportunity for students to practice some of the most challenging math concepts day after day. It also helps with basic number understanding, as they think daily about how to change numbers by adding and subtracting tens and hundreds, doubling them, etc.
The Number of the Day product is geared toward third and fourth grades. There are several concepts included that are taught in the third grade, so you may wish to introduce the Number of the Day a few months into the year, after some of the concepts have been taught.
There are enough Number of the Day cards for approximately one card per day of school for a typical school year. Although they are presented in the packet in numerical order, I would suggest mixing them up when presented to students.
There are enough Featured Time cards for approximately one per school week.
I designed this resource with the intention of having very little printed paper necessary. Rather than print one sheet per day, you can print one per student for the entire year. Put it in a page protector and students can use a dry erase marker on it day after day.
Included in this resource:
Blank Number of the Day page
Blank Featured Time page
