Number of the Day *Snowman* Flipchart: This is an interactive activity for your students to practice their number sense during your Number of the Day routine for numbers 1-20.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE the ActivInspire Software installed to run this flipchart. You can download the software for free on the Promethean World Website. (A link will be provided in this purchase).
There are seven tasks the students must perform for the Number of the Day Flipchart:
-Spin It; The student will spin the spinner to land on the number of the day.
-Write It; The student will write the numeric and word form of the number.
-Picture It; Circle the number of pictures to match the Number of the Day
-Frame It; Students will slide the pictures into the ten frames and determine if the number is even or odd.
-Plot It; Students will slide the numbers that come before and after the number on a number line
-Tally It; Students will slide the tally marks into the blank box.
-Expand It; Slide the Base Ten blocks into the blank boxes. Write the number in expanded form.
Number of the Day Student Sheet: Print the student sheet (in color or black and white). Have students use this sheet independently, either while another student is using the interactive whiteboard or for independent practice. It may be best to place the sheets inside a dry erase pocket, so that the sheet may be used again each day.
The Student sheet has six sections. Each section of the color version matches the color of each slide on the flipchart.
