This is a template for "Number of the Day" with a student worksheet.
I incorporate this into my daily routine by completing this at calendar time. At first, we do the Number of the Day together. As the students start to understand, I gradually release the responsibility onto the student. I will write the number of the day and they will complete the worksheet and turn it in.
This is my way of doing a "number talk" in Special Education.
This is a quick lesson, and should only take 5-10 minutes out of your day. The worksheets are great for a quick informal assessment to see which students have the concept, and which students are struggling.
