What educators are saying
My students love Number of the Week! They even asked for it the week after Spring Break! It provides great practice in so many concepts. It also works as a center that students can do independently.
This was used with third graders in small groups. It was challenging for some until they figured out the system. I would recommend it.

Each week begins with a Number of the Week clue poster. There are then 5 days worth of number sense activities. The Day 1-5 pages are the same for each number so that students can gain confidence while reinforcing crucial math skills.
The poster provides clues for students to determine the number of the week. Clues include math vocabulary such as sum, difference, more/less than, product, odd/even, greater than/less than, etc. There are multiple ways to use the posters:
•post on the board
•display on a document camera/overhead for students to complete in their math notebooks
•attach a copy to the front of each student’s Number of the Week packet
The Number of the Week packets are blank, so you can use your own numbers as well!
A great extension would be to have a student generate clues for the Number of the Week poster each week. The included blank poster makes that easy to do!
