This study guide addresses comprehension, vocabulary, and writing. The comprehension skills that are emphasized are recalling details, drawing conclusions, making inferences, sequencing, finding cause and effect, and differentiating between fact and fiction. The writing assignments include writing a diary entry, responding to questions about story elements, and writing a personal narrative.
I have two other children's/young adult novels on TPT entitled The Devil's Arithmetic and Daniel's Story dealing with the Holocaust. These two books are appropriate for students in grades 6 - 8 because the details are more graphic. Please evaluate my work. Thank you.
