When each number is taught, there are 9 or 10 different slides to introduce that number:
Number intro slide: Students see the number, as well as the number on a ten frame, and in number word form.
Number song slide: A song about the number is included for every number! The song teaches students how to print the number. The tune of the song is "Are you Sleeping?" Click on the play button on the slide to hear a recording of the song. Each song is 20 seconds long.
Number video slide: A quick 20 second video is included of how to print each number, along with part of the song once again in the background. Click on the play button on the slide to watch the video.
Write the number in the air: Students review how to write the number in the air now that they have listened to the song and watched the video.
Write it on your whiteboard: Students write the number on their own whiteboard or a class whiteboard, or even on the screen if you have a smart board.
Number comparison slide (only for numbers 11-20): Students see an addition connection by looking at the number as 10 and _______ more or 10 + _________
Show it on the ten frame slide:A blank ten frame is on this slide for students to "draw counters" to show the number. Students can draw on the screen or on their own personal whiteboards. The next slide shows the same ten frame, but with counters on it so students can check their answer.
Number line slide: Students practice finding the number on the number line!
Review slide: Students practice finding pictures that represent the given number.

Additional review slides are included in each powerpoint! Students practice counting groups of objects, and students also practice making numbers by drawing counters on a ten frame.
