The worksheets focus on the numbers 11-20 and work very well following the 0-10 Number Focus pages also posted for sale on my TPT page. These worksheets are meant to be used after counting out objects to a specific number (C=concrete objects), then counting the number as it is represented through drawings on each page (R=Representation) and finally learning what the number looks like (A=Abstract)
Each worksheet shows the number word, number, and a group of the amount. Kids then practice writing the number 6 times. Then, using manipulatives in the classroom, have the children "show" the number. Once you've checked it is the correct group, they are asked to draw it on a ten frame and write it again. We then do some ten frame work talking about "how many groups of ten, how many remain" to pull in the idea of place value.
Students then practice differentiating the number from a list of numbers. On the back of each worksheet, students are asked to count dots in an array or group and circle the amount shown. If it's the number of the day they circle the group, if not, they cross it out. Then, using a number line, fill in the missing numbers in a sequence and circle the days number. Finally, students look at ten frames and circle the group if it shows the number of the day or cross it out if it is a different number.
These worksheets focus on many of the CCSS while learning different ways to represent a number (digits, drawing, dots, double ten frames), counting up from a number other than 1 (on the number line sequence, double ten frames) and representing a number of objects with the written numeral.
