Turkey time is a fun and egnaging math activity that will give your students practice identifying and representing numbers in a variety of different ways.
This activity is a perfect addition to your Autumn math center rotation or as an addition to your Thanksgiving seasonal unit.
To play, students place the turkey bodies on their work surface. They choose a turkey feather and read the number on the feather and find the turkey that it belongs to . The object of the activity to find all the feathers for each of the turkey. There are 6 sets of turkey feathers ( dice, tally marks, numerals, fingers, number words, ten frames and addition equations.
This activity is easily differentiated. Just pre select the feathers that you would like your students to work. They could match all 6 or just 2 whichever combination will best meet their learning needs.
