This activity is designed to help students thing about numbers, their opposites and their absolute values. The cards are designed like a game where the statement of "I'm Thinking of a Number" starts the process. Your students will use their thinking skills on this game and have fun in the process. What a great way to assess their knowledge and the teacher has NO PREP! This is TEK 6.2B for Texas 6th graders, but it is a great activity for any age group where the teacher is wondering if the students understand opposites of a number and absolute values of a number.
