Have some fun identifying numbers by smashing playdough onto a colorful smash mat! Increase student engagement while working on identifying the number. Print and put in plastic sheet protector or laminate. Use with playdough. Roll a small ball. Put it on your target word and SMASH IT! Repeat, repeat, repeat! Language ideas: Label the number, label the color of the number. Do you see any of these numbers in the room? Can you find this number of objects in the room (i.e. can you find 6 pencils in this room, can you spot 10 books, can you find 4 stars, can you find 12 blue objects)?
