Numbers in the Thousands is a page of random numbers with place value in the thousands. Use this sheet over and over again to give students additional practice with place value. Simply reproduce the page on heavy paper and cut apart. Some suggestions are given at the bottom of the page. For example, have students choose a number and write the many forms of that number. Or you might have students choose several numbers and order them least to greatest. Or have students work with a partner. Place numbers face down. Each child chooses a number card, then they work together to decide who has the greater number value.
This activity can be used in a center, small group or whole class setting.
