Keep your students engaged by having them complete a hands-on pattern puzzle! This resource contains two differentiated puzzles that allow students to practice identifying numerical patterns. This is a great activity for math centers, early finishers, review, and even assessment!
The first puzzle contains patterns with addition and subtraction, while the second puzzle uses all four operations. Both 12-piece puzzles come in two versions: one with non-matching choices along the outer edges and one without (this one is a little easier).
An answer sheet is included in case you want students to glue the puzzle pieces when they finish solving the puzzle. Directions for preparation and use are also included.
This activity is aligned with Virginia Mathematics SOL 4.15, though it's applicable to any classroom.
