This first grade unit teaches high and low and so and mi on the xylophones. Students will use movement, visuals and xylophone activities to understand the concepts.

This first grade unit teaches beat vs rhythm and so and mi through the nursery rhyme One Two, Tie My Shoe.
How Does Your Garden Grow
This third grade unit teaches the note fa. It takes the nursery rhyme Mary Mary Quite Contrary and teaches the difficult note, Fa through singing, seeing and playing.
Star Light Star Bright
This beginning recorder unit teaches the notes G and E. This is the first unit in our Rockstar Recorder

Little Jack Horner
This unit on Little Jack Horner is also available in our Holiday Bundle
. It teaches 4/4 vs. 6/8 and the dotted quarter with the single eighth note. Students will say and play ostinatos and compose their own holiday rhythms as well as experience rondo form.
Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater
This Upper Elementary unit takes the nursery rhyme Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater and adds a melody. Students will learn and work with High Do', canons, and their own created pieces while experiencing the different pentatonics on the xylophones.
The unit is organized as a recorder unit, to go after Rockstar Recorder
, or as a xylophone only unit, including no recorder. There are two folders, one with the recorder lesson, PowerPoint, recorder practice sheet, and worksheet, the other non-recorder lesson, PowerPoint and worksheet.
