### Description

Thanksgiving Guess ‘Em is a great activity to do anytime in November or around Thanksgiving.

I have used this activity with 4th – 12th grade students and they all really enjoy the activity. It could be used in Health, PE, Nutrition, Science Classes, or is a perfect filler activity in any subject matter.

What’s Included:

- 64 Slide Activity PowerPoint (31 food/drinks to be guessed)

- Student Guess Worksheet

- Student Guess Worksheet / Answer Key

- Point Tracking Worksheet

How the activity works:

The students will be shown a common food/drink often consumed around the Thanksgiving holiday. They will record their guess on the student guess worksheet. If they get their guess exactly correct, they get 2 points. If no one in the class guesses exactly correct, then the student who is closest without going over (i.e Price is Right) will be awarded one point. I narrow down their guesses by calling out calorie ranges such as who guessed between 70-100 (lots of hands up), 80-90 (lots of hands go down) , 80-85 (usually only a few hands are left), now I call on the few hands still up and ask their guess to see if anyone guessed it exactly correct. Whoever has the most points at the end of the activity gets a prize or extra credit. I have the students sign the point tracking worksheet every time they earn points to help keep track of each student’s total points.
