Food 411 is a curriculum I have developed to guide teens & tweens through an exploration of where our food comes from, how it gets from our farms to our plates, what our food is made of, how it is prepared, & what role food plays in our overall health and lives.
You can utilize the lessons created in this curriculum as a mini-unit in a Health or Science class, use as a side unit to your normal course, or use to stand on it's own as a nutrition course. Food 411 not only emphasizes healthy eating; rather it is designed to expand your students' view of food as a whole and enable a thorough exploration of its history, culture, customs, and (of course) it's effect on our minds, bodies, health and happiness.
