This spectacular O. Henry story is great for teachers who want to teach about reality, perception, and truth. This story follows two characters who have crafted a new life for themselves full of fake wealth and riches.
This reading activity booklet comes with 12 activities that go along with the story. There are activities to be completed before, during and after reading. Students will write, increase vocabulary knowledge, answer questions, find examples of irony, explain their opinions, and more.
I have given the activities to a group and let the students work together to complete them. Other times, I have assigned only a few worksheets. Either strategy works. It is a great set, and you can pick and choose as you want.
I have included a PDF copy, but I can get you the .docx version if you want to make edits.
