Columbus Day). The bottom half of the page contains a sentence with the key word (Columbus Day is the day we remember that Columbus landed in America.). Each October-themed page is followed by a writing prompt page (22 prompts total). The common core focus of this packet is on reading and writing. The packet is designed for each student to create one large mini book (44 pages) or smaller mini books with fewer pages.
