In an ever increasing need for oil resource, multiple oil companies have proposed to harvest in the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge. However, how this land and others like it are managed is a multi-faceted issue that must be explored from numerous points of view. This debate will encourage students to think through the opinions of various stakeholders.
This debate, formatted to occur in a real-time or virtual, online format, will encourage students to think through the opinions of various stakeholders. Five stakeholder roles are provided, along with a realistic scenario. A grading rubric explains the requirements that students must take to prepare for the debate and make contributions to the debate.
