The visual instruction sheets identify the manipultives you will use to complete each activity. You will print all of the activities on cardstock. Each activity has a Print-and-Use booklet.
Your students can complete the booklets with dot markers and crayons. Or you can use these sheets as additional task cards and your students can count with Play-Doh, clothespins, push pins, hole punchers, moon sand, regular sand, finger paint or even edible counters (yum!). The possibilities are endless! The more your students practice, the better they will get at 1:1, number recognition, and counting.
The activity booklets/task cards can be introduced during either small group time or one-on-one teacher time depending on your students' ability level. One of the "I Can Count What I See" booklets has items your students can find at home (a pair of scissors, pencils, rubber bands, pennies, puzzle pieces, goldfish, macaroni and Cheerios). This book can be sent home for students to practice with their parents.
