Looking for Hands On, Minds On Science and Technology centers?
Print and laminate all of the student instruction cards for use year after year. Place the instruction cards and hands-on materials provided by you in bins or buckets. Students record their findings on the student booklets included. Divide students into groups to rotate through each of the centers. You can also make multiple copies of the centers and have the students work in groups on the same activity/investigation.

These grade 4 science and technology centers align perfectly with the Ontario Science Curriculum Expectations for Understanding Structures and Mechanisms Strand (Pulleys and Gears).
10 Hands On, Inquiry Based Learning centres:
students work in small groups or individually to rotate between 10 centres over the course of unit. Ten types of centre activities including hands-on and minds on activities and investigations (Let's Inquire, Let's Read, Let's Match, Let's Analyze, Let's Explain, Let's Tech, Let's Create, Let's Explore, Let's Sort, Let's Draw).
Some of the centres require the teacher to provide materials. Most of these materials are easy to obtain. Suggestions are provided about where to purchase some of the harder to find items.
