Hands On, Minds On Science and Technology Centres
created to engage students in learning about GRADE 5 CONSERVATION OF ENERGY.
★These centres include INQUIRY, INVESTIGATIONS, EXPERIMENTS and ACTIVITIES
which are lower prep and easy to implement.
★Just print and laminate all of the student instruction cards for use year after year. Place the instruction cards and easy to find materials in buckets or tubs. Students record their findings on the student booklets included.
★Divide students into groups to rotate through each of the centres. You can also make multiple copies of the centres and have the students work in groups on the same activity/investigation.
★Some of the centres require the teacher to provide materials. Most of these materials are easy to obtain. For more details, please check the PREVIEW

These grade 5 science and technology centers align perfectly with the Ontario Science Curriculum Expectations for Conservation of Energy (Understanding Earth and Space Systems).
★10 Hands On, Inquiry Based Learning centres: students work in small groups or individually to rotate between 10 centres over the course of unit.
