My kids love going to the zoo! They love everything to do with animals! Capture their attention with this HUGE unit while learning “oo”!
In this unit you will find:
-3 types of write the room cards (use one or all 3, you decide! I print all 3 and use them in different ways!) and response sheet
-31 break apart/puzzle cards and response sheet
-2 different sets of game (for a pocket chart) sorting ”oo” and non-oo words. One set has the words and one set has just pictures.The other set has the words included. A student sorting response sheet is included so that this may be used in a center pocket chart activity.
-36 zoo themed word cards to use as word wall cards or as “word rings” for fluency practice! (or sorting word families, rhyming words and more!)
-“Help the Zookeeper put the animals in their cages” pocket chart activity (matching ck word to picture) and answer sheet so it can be used in a center or full group

-2 types of Quiz, Quiz Trade cards (and directions for using, in case you are unfamiliar with this Kagan Sturcture)

-Full group “Spin to Win Jungle Racers” game- Sorting word families (Students predict who will win on a “ticket”. Then, the children spin the spinner and place words in that word family. The first “jungle racer” to have all of his animals in the pocket chart wins. (I have included 2 types of animals, easy and harder, for differentiation!)
-9 different “Roll and Cover” games
-36 different worksheets for early finishers, extra practice, remediation, homework, morning work, extra centers and more.
The types of worksheets include: flip books, spin to win, color write and count, mixed up “oo” sentences, word building, onset and rime, circle map sorting oo and non-oo pictures, word to picture matching, phoneme substitution and more.

This unit contains a huge variety of differentiated activities for all
