Description

Students often struggle with making distinctions between the characteristics of an introduction paragraph and those of a conclusion paragraph. This resource provides a basic review of the purpose and characteristics of each paragraph type. The task cards provide students with the opportunity to identify various paragraphs as either an introduction or conclusion paragraph. In addition, the included student handouts provide opinion prompts and an outline for each paragraph type, allowing students time to practice incorporating the reviewed elements into their own writing.
