Thanks for checking out my messy brain. :)
A visual aid like this can help people we work with become more compliant and empowered as we take the time to discuss the general functions of the brain's various lobes and how these relate to what we do in therapy and/or the classroom.
This is a digital file of an original, hand-drawn illustration with my initials. The drawing represents four distinct-but-overlapping lobes of a brain's left hemisphere in a way that a lay person can understand. Seeing the 'organ between our ears' depicted artistically can help our clients and their families understand that it is complex, mysterious, and messy in the ways different lobes blur and enhance each other's functions. Done in watercolors, colored pencils, and ink, this jpeg file can be downloaded for unlimited personal use. No commercial use of my art is permitted in any form.
In addition to its value as a teaching tool, this original art can be combined with other drawings of mine to create a set of wall hangings that are pleasing to the eye in an office or therapy room, reminding us why we do what we do. If you use a quality printer and paper, any of my illustrations should be frameable and resizable for your personal use in whatever way fits your personal needs. This product cannot be used for commercial gain.
