This PowerPoint reviews/introduces the vowel diphthong of ou and ow. The first few slides inform the students of how to say the sound and why it does not make the long o sound. Then, the students practice looking at pictures and writing/spelling the word on the screen. The students first practice spelling with ou. Then, they practice with ow. Afterwords, the students are given a word written with both patterns and they must pick what word is spelled correctly.
