Product Description
OWL Number Posters 0-10 with Ten Frames ~ Kindergarten Common Core

Included in this set are:

Number Posters 0 – 10

Each poster shows different ways to represent the number:

→Numeral
→Number word
→Ten frame with owls

The posters measure 5” x 7.75” – they are printed two to a sheet of paper (8.5” x 11”).

Ideas for using the posters include:
★ Displaying the cards in the classroom to reinforce students’ number sense/numeracy understanding.
★ Using them as a student resource/reference tool, for example, at a math center.
★ Using the numeral, number word, and ten frame as a teaching tool when teaching about each number.
★ Sequencing activity: students put the cards in the correct number sequence.
★ Print both sets and combine them to differentiate between even and odd numbers. For example, use the red/black even numbers and the red/blue odd numbers to make one set.
★ Using them as flashcards to practice subitizing skills (cover the numeral and number word – uncover them to check the answer).
★ Using the cards for number recognition, counting, comparing, and sequencing. If two sets are printed, they may be used for activities such as memory games, in which children turn over the cards and then try to find the matching pairs.

★These posters address the following Kindergarten Common Core State Standards:

K.CC.4
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality:

KCC.4a
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.

KCC.4b
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.

K.CC.5
Count to answer "how many?" questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1–20, count out that many objects.
