Product Description
OWL Writing and Craft: is a brand new informational resource that includes an easy but fun owl craftivity--complete with patterns and instructions!

This owl writing packet should be helpful as a scaffolding tool for students who are hesitant about writing, and for those who are ready to write their first short report. This will give them the frame-work to organize their thinking in complete sentences.

This includes a two-page student reading passage: "Fascinating Owls", that will give students general information and background for their owl reports, or owl writing.

Send them off to a science or literacy center to create their "long-eared owl" craft after they have completed their report writing.

Your students will write about owls, work with supporting details and graphic organizers, and have a ton of fun creating their own owl. The owl can be used to "hang" up their writing as well! Their owls make a showy bulletin board too!

Be sure to check out the preview if you are considering purchasing--to give you a good idea as to what you would receive. (Not all pages are shown in the preview.)

This owl resource is targeted for second and third graders, but first graders can complete the activities with guidance. Advanced first graders will enjoy the activities with very little guidance. Fourth graders who struggle with grade level reading may enjoy this because they would be able to work independently.
