This lesson is a great introduction to introducing the concept of inferences. The students are first given the definition of observation and they will view a picture where they are advised to state their observations. After making their observations, the students will learn about the next step, making an inference. The students will learn how to differentiate between making an observation and inference. As a group activity, the students can be paired into groups to analyze pictures. They need to write their observations and Inferences. As a whole class lesson, the students can share out their responses.
