Using a sunflower, students will write observations they make on the sunflower. This is to help practice observation skills in the scientific method. Give out one sunflower to a pair or group of students and have them observe the sunflower using their 5 senses. They will write down those observations in the box asking for the 5 senses. Have students write down any additional questions about sunflowers they have as well. In the last box, have them make a list of all the possible measurable things on the sunflower.
