The occupation writing station packet which includes a variety of different level writing papers, vocabulary cards with pictures, “I Can” statement poster, sentence starters and questions to gear students to write opinion, narrative, imaginative, or informational pieces based on the various writing prompts.
The "What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up" writing activities are great for my kindergarten writing center – I laminate the pieces and place them at their work area – students are able to grab the words they need, prompts if needed, and write away! It has become a place where students are able to do independent writing – what every teacher needs during his/her ELA block.
This is great for kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. The prompts and paper allow for differentiation – this works for students who are writing sentences and students who are writing stories!
Other topics covered: jobs, occupations, work tools, uniforms, community helpers, police officer, firefighter, teacher, president, doctor, etc.
