Are you going on a class trip to the Aquarium? Are you doing beginning research with early learners?
This is a great little ‘setting the stage’ booklet for a visit to an aquarium, like Ripley’s in Toronto, or as a precursor to class research. Have the students think about the name of each ocean animal presented before they draw what they think looks like. The names of these creatures are really quite descriptive! Some students might, of course, have a prior knowledge of these creatures, but can the others use context to help them imagine the appearance? Zebra shark? Saw fish? Puffer fish? And more!
There are three additional pages for the teacher to use in different way with suggested uses.
