This is a simple activity you can do with students to visualize the movement of water when there are differences in temperature and salinity. The first page should be given to students at the start of the lab. After the lab is completed you can hand out the reflection questions or you can post these on the board. I have them using the Self-Table-Class method of reflection. First, students write what their "Self" answer is, then the table discusses and they come up with an answer as a table and write that down. During full class discussion you guide students to the correct answer and then they write that down. You can look over these answers and see the thought progression.
