I used this power point and fact book while I was teaching preschool. It may be adjusted for your own classroom.
Each day we would open the power point up and look at one of the creatures. We would read the facts about the creature, count words in the sentence, look for words we know, talk about vocabulary words. We would then look at the pictures of the animals. We would look at the color, the size, texture, ect. Then I would pass out the corresponding paper for the children to color and trace the words. While the children were coloring I would point out what colors the children should be using… Have you ever seen a yellow lobster… well what color is a lobster? Since my children were so young I would collect each of the papers each day and made them into a book before passing them back to the children at the end of the two weeks.
