Resource Directions:

Ocean Animal Match Game: Children can play this by placing the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over to see if they match the same animals. If they do they keep both cards, if not they turn the cards back over and the next child has a turn. The person who has the most matches wins the game.

Fish Match Upper & Lowercase Letter Game: Matching Game: Children just match up the same lettered fish, upper and lowercase letters match. Memory Game: Children can play this by placing the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over to see if they match the same colored fish, one fish begins with the lowercase letter, the other with the uppercase letter. If they do they keep both cards, if not they turn the cards back over and the next child has a turn. The person who has the most matches wins the game.

Fish Color Word Match Game: Memory Game: Children can play this by placing the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over to see if they match the same colored fish, one fish begins with the lowercase letter, the other with the upeerecase letter. If they do they keep both cards, if not they turn the cards back over and the next child has a turn. The person who has the most matches wins the game. Matching Game: Children just match up the same colored fish with the same color words.

Fish 0-20 Number Word Match : Children read the number and number word on the cards and find the matching quanitiy of fish card. Example: If the card is number word "five" they must find the card that has the 5 fish on it to make a match.

Fish Quantity Memory Game: Children can play this by placing the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over to see if they match the number of fish with the number and number word card. If they do they keep both cards, if not they turn the cards back over and the next child has a turn. The person who has the most matches wins the game. Note: You may have to limit the amount of cards to play with depending on what skill level your students are.

Whale Match the Sound Card Game: Matching Game: Children match up whale picture card with the same letter sound. Memory Game: Children can play this by placing the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over to see if they the sound card and letter card match. If they do they keep both cards, if not they turn the cards back over and the next child has a turn. The person who has the most matches wins the game.

Whale Addition Card Game: Matching Game: Children match up whale number sentence with the quanity of whales on the card. Memory Game: Children can play this by placing the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over to see if they the addition sentences match with the quanity card. If they do they keep both cards, if not they turn the cards back over and the next child has a turn. The person who has the most matches wins the game.

Octopus CVC Make a Word Game: Students insert any of the five vowel cards onto line on the octopus cards and make words. I have included eight Make A Word sheets for students to write their words on so you can have record of their work.

Octopus Roll and Cover: (2 types) One Dice Roll: Roll one die and count your dots. Cover the number of dots you rolled with your marker. Two players will need to use two different colors. Covering the most numbers wins! Two Dice Roll: Roll two die and count your dots. Cover the number of dots you rolled with your marker. Two players will need to use two different colors. Covering the most numbers wins!

Penguin Sight Word Game: Word Game: Children place cards face down and take turns drawing a card. If student can read the word, they keep it, if they cannot they must put it back. If they draw a Cloud or Sun Card follow its directions They must read all their cards, the person who has the most cards wins. Memory Game: Make two sets of the word cards and children place the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over to see if they have matched the same words. If it does they keep both cards, if not they turn the cards back over and the next child has a turn. The person who has the most matches wins the game!

Penguin Subtraction Card Game: Matching Game: Children match up penguin number sentence with the quanity of penguins on the card. Memory Game: Children can play this by placing the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over to see if they the subtraction sentences match with the quanity card. If they do they keep both cards, if not they turn the cards back over and the next child has a turn. The person who has the most matches wins the game.
