Here is a subtraction mat your students will love! I recommend printing on cardstock and laminating for durability and repeated use. Use with fish provided, or for less prep use cute mini erasers, goldfish crackers, or other small manipulatives. I use these in small independent math centers. I have each student start with ten fish in the ocean, roll a die, and *oh-no!* that many fish got caught! Students can record the number sentence on the mat with a dry erase marker. Or if you prefer, I have included a separate page to record the number sentence to allow for more space on the mat. Have fun!
