Thinking about doing math centers/ rotations/ small groups in your classroom? Well I did it and it was AMAZING!!! Individualize your math lessons to better meet the needs of your kids based on their math levels! Start off by doing a pre-test to see where each kid is and then use the test to create your 4 groups. Each group spends 15-25 minutes in each group depending on your daily math allotted time. Worked great for me and my kids whether they were GT or low level. I always set up my groups in the following groups: high, medium high, medium low and low. Great thing about math centers is that no set of kids is the same each time you start a new topic in math… so this truly benefits kids and their current math level for each math topic.
20 pages of brightly colored backgrounds and clipart matching your classroom décor. 3 options for banners (rectangular, bunting / pennant, and circular) as well as blanks for you to come up with your own banner title. 2 color options for “rotation tags” and 2 color options for “group” tags.
Includes directions on setting up each of the 4 math centers including suggested types of tubs and trays that have been tested by myself and have been successful for my kiddos. Math centers include: Teacher Choice, Math Games, Math Facts, and Independent Work. I have also included how to setup your Math Centers wall display, how to use math centers in your classroom and helpful hints that made this a success in my classroom.
