October 2016 Activities Calendar PLUS Mini-Journal for Children and Families
If you like our October 2016 Activities Calendar, but you're looking for just a bit more substance, we created this version with a mini-journal for beginning writers!
In addition to the activities calendar--apple eating anyone? Maybe a game of I spy?--we've added three pages for journaling. For each day's activity, ask your child to record a word or short sentence about their favorite part of the activity. Maybe they really liked how sweet the apples tasted. Or, perhaps they thought it was funny when they saw a cloud in the shape of a bunny rabbit. Perhaps they were surprised by how many acorn tops they collected.
Whatever it is, be sure to have your child record their own thoughts and ideas--have them do the actual writing. You can provide some guidance with regard to spelling, but encourage some independence here, both in thought process, expression of their thoughts, and in the physical act of writing.
Your order includes a 4 page PDF file to download and print with pages fitting 8.5 x 11 inch sheets.
The calendar alone does double duty as your children can learn additional skills with this calendar--in addition to the daily activities, you can use the calendar as a counting exercise and to learn calendar skills. Let them keep track of the days as the month goes on! Depending on your child's skill level, you can also use the calendar as reading practice. Add in the journal pages and now you are including writing skills in the mix!
However you use this October 2016 Activities Calendar, we hope you and your children will have fun with it! And be sure to share pictures on social media as you complete the activities--just use #mom2momed in your posts so we can find you!
Your calendar will NOT have any watermark on it.
Please note, no part of our calendar may be reproduced, sold, or distributed without our explicit permission. We worked hard to put this together for you! Thanks!
