October 2016 Activities Calendar for Children and Families
It's fall in the Northern Hemisphere and that means crunchy leaves, cooler weather, and lots of opportunities to get out and explore the world around you. Make it easy with this simple, single page, printable activities calendar.
We've put together a list of 31 different ways you and your children can explore nature and your own neighborhoods. You don't need to give it any more thought than to look at the days activity and help your children act on it.
One day you'll be munching on delicious apples--be sure to talk about apples when you go to the store to buy them! Maybe look at the different varieties and discuss their sizes, colors, shapes, and how they might all taste!
Another day you'll be heading outside to talk about the clouds--can you see different shapes? Pick out the shapes and then have your child tell you a story about the clouds!
Head to the library and pick up books on trees--maybe a picture book and an easy reader. Read the books together and then talk about the trees in your own yard or neighborhood.
Print this 8.5 x 11 inch calendar (you'll receive a one page PDF file to download) and hang it on the calendar. It does double duty as your children can learn additional skills with this calendar--in addition to the daily activities, you can use the calendar as a counting exercise and to learn calendar skills. Let them keep track of the days as the month goes on! Depending on your child's skill level, you can also use the calendar as reading practice.
However you use this October 2016 Activities Calendar, we hope you and your children will have fun with it! And be sure to share pictures on social media as you complete the activities--just use #mom2momed in your posts so we can find you!
Your calendar will NOT have any watermark on it.
Please note, no part of our calendar may be reproduced, sold, or distributed without our explicit permission. We worked hard to put this together for you! Thanks!
