### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Are you in need of some fun, engaging math tubs for October? These math tub activities are just what you need to make your math rotations a success!

In this pack you will find 8 hands-on activities:

**Counting On Cards: Students will use the 'counting on' cards to practice the counting on strategy.
(Common Core: 1.OA.5 & 1.NBT.1)

Included:
-Two sets of cards provided and color coded for differentiation
-120 chart for student use (black and white + color)
-Ten frame work mat
-Recording Sheet

**Ten Frame Match Up: Students will match puzzle pieces where a set of ten frames and a number create a complete puzzle. Directions for differentiation and ten frame work mat included.
(Common Core: 1.NBT.1,2,3)

**Choose and Build: Students will choose a number card and build the given number on their ten frame. Directions for differentiation and ten frame work mat included.
(Common Core: 1.OA.6)

**Pick a Number: Students will create a life size 120 chart using number cards. Number cards to 120 included. This center allows for differentiation by the number sets you select (directions included). After building the desired number chart, students will play a 'What's Missing' game with a partner to build number sense.
(Common Core: 1.NBT.1)

**Fall Word Problems: Students will use the provided work mat (part-part-whole OR whole-part-part) to solve the given word problems. Two sets of color coded cards are provided for differentiation. A recording sheet is also included.
(Common Core: 1.OA.1)

**Hundred Chart Search: Students will use the provided 120 chart to play this game with a partner. They will lay the playing cards face down. Partners will each take a card and find the new number using the directions given. Partners will spin the spinner to see which player wins the round: the person with the largest new number or the smallest number.
(Common Core: 1.NBT.1 & 5)

**Ten Frame Memory: Students will lay all cards face down. Players will take turns choosing two cards and will look for a ten frame card and a matching number sentence card. If they get a match, they go again. The player with the most cards when all cards have been matched is the winner!
(Common Core: 1.OA.6)

**Take It Away!: Students will take a small amount of the given manipulative and place them on their ten frame. Then, each player will choose a 'Take It Away' card and subtract that many from their ten frame. The person with the largest difference wins the round by taking both cards. The person with the most cards when all cards are gone is the winner! Picture directions, ten frame card, and recording sheet included.
