Yes that's right, it's a MATH Writing Station! My kids need lots of consistency this year and they LOVE the writing station during literacy stations. So why not have one for math?!?
Included in this October themed Math Station are the following activities:
~ Writing a List - Students will write a list and then add up the items
~ Count the objects in the picture (2 papers)
~ Writing Numbers 1-9 - Students will trace and write the numbers and number words (9 pages)
~ Math Stories - Students will spin a wheel to get a number and another wheel with objects. They will write a math story using what they spin (3 differentiated paper choices and 3 themed wheels - fire, fall, and Halloween)
~ Math Journal Cover - There is a color and black and white cover option
~ Math Journals - Theses are printed 26 to a page. 5 patterns, Show ways to make 1-5, 5 addition, tally marks 5-10, shapes and colors
~ Color by the number (2 pages 1-5, 6-10)
~Count and trace (2 pages 1-5, 6-10)
There are "I Can" task cards for each component.
These skills are basic and will get harder as the year goes on. If you have ideas that you would like to see added in coming months, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know.
