Product Description
Do you need daily morning work or homework for your first graders that reviews many important skills? This product offers 23 pages of printables; one for each school day in October. These can be used as morning work or homework. Each page covers several math and language arts skills. The standards included are listed below. There is a bonus coloring sheet on the last page.

Each sheet has six sections. Three are related to math and three are related to ELA. Please check out the preview to see the format and the types of skills covered.
Skills include:
*addition and subtraction
*math word problems (addition, subtraction, three addends)
*ten more/ten less/one more/one less
*numbers before and after a given number
*ways to make a number
*representations of numbers with tens and ones
*word families
*short vowels, long vowels, digraphs, and blends
*writing sentences correctly with proper capitalization and punctuation


The following common core standards are addressed:
Math:
1OA1: Use addition and subtraction within 20 to solve word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns in all positions.
1OA2: Solve word problems that call for addition of three whole numbers whose sum is less than or equal to 20.
1NBT1: Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
1NBT2: Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones.
1NBT5: Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number.

Language:
1L2: Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing.
a. Capitalize dates and names of people.
d. Use conventional spelling for words with common spelling patterns and for frequently occurring irregular words.
e. Spell untaught words phonetically, drawing on phonemic awareness and spelling conventions.
