Pumpkin Pals BINGO: Students will learn different ways to make and keep friends with this Bingo game. This game is for small groups and comes with 8 individual Bingo cards and 30 calling cards. (1-5)
Raking in Respect: This activity includes 10 posters that display and tell ways to show respect. Also included is a flip-a-flap activity for students to complete after talking about the posters. After following the included directions to make the activity, student complete each of the sentence starters behind each flap. On the inside, they will illustrate and write about how they show respect. (2-4)
Something to Crow About: When a statement or action is “Something to Crow About,” it’s a good thing. Unfortunately, some statements and actions made by others are hurtful and only said to spread gossip and rumors. Decide which crows are spreading gossip or rumors and which ones have something to crow about. Sort the cards on the sorting mat putting the mean crows closest to the scarecrow. (3-5)
Say “BOO” to Drugs: Use these posters, coloring sheets, bookmarks (color and b/w) and roll and respond card to enhance your celebration of Red Ribbon Week. Older students can discuss drug awareness with Roll and Respond while younger grades can use coloring sheets after a class discussion. (K-5)
Respect – The “Respect Detectives” are searching for evidence of respect. A poster describes to students what it means to show respect. It comes in color and b/w. An activity sheet for each grade, K-5, is included with activities to get your students thinking about how they can show respect. (K-5)
Cyberbullying – Use this activity to teach students the ways cyberbullying occurs, examples of cyberbullying and what to do if they are a victim of cyberbullying. I Have/Who Has is a fun way to review what students have learned. This game is designed for small groups even in a classroom setting. (3-5)
Time Management – This activity allows students to understand that time management includes things you HAVE to do and things you WANT to do. After completing and discussing the soring activity, students think about their own “to do” lists and may create a schedule for the week or calendar for the month. (2-5)
Architecture & Construction - Use these pages to enhance your discussion of careers with your students. This section focuses only on jobs that fall under this cluster. Use booklets with younger students and create flip-a-flap booklets with upper grades. Color and b/w included. (K-5)
